Post-harvest handling determines how much of the plant’s chemistry survives to the finished product. Flowers from cbd dominant cultivars are usually dried slowly at around 15 to 20 degrees Celsius and 55 to 60 percent relative humidity over ten to fourteen days. Faster drying with heat drives off terpenes and can leave a harsh, grassy smell. Curing in sealed containers that are opened briefly each day evens out the remaining moisture and stabilises the aroma.
